The cottages’ ideal location is excellent for exploring Norfolk, which, by its very nature is dog and child friendly with a network of quiet lanes offering excellent walking, dog walking and cycling opportunities from your doorstep, and just a short drive to the delightful beaches at Mundesley, Sea Palling and Cromer. The village of Trunch, just a mile away has a fine medieval church, a corner store with post office and village pub serving food. The seaside village of Mundesley is 2 miles for a sandy beach, and considered one of the best beaches in Norfolk, with a thriving village centre with shops, crazy golf, children’s playground, cafés, pubs and restaurants.
A visit to the quintessential seaside town of Cromer is a must do, with a sandy beach and pier, rnli working lifeboat station, museum, zoo park, golf course and shops, cafés and restaurants. Dog walkers will welcome the proximity of the Paston Way, 5 minutes on foot, Pigneys Woods, 5 minutes by car and Bacton Woods, 15 minutes by car. The town of North Walsham is 4 miles and offers shops, a monthly farmers market, pubs, cafés, supermarkets and a train station with a service to Norwich city. The cathedral city of Norwich offers two indoor shopping malls, theatre, castle museum, cathedral, market square, cafés and fine restaurants. Wroxham, the capital of the Norfolk Broads is 14 miles for daily boat hire and river trips, waterside restaurants, cafés and shops. Shop and pub within 1 mile.

What a wonderful holiday home, spacious, clean and cosy.Fabulous location for local amenities, beaches, food and dog walks on beach or woodland. Hoists were wonderful, so helpful and friendly.Had a fabulous time.5 mins to Mundesley, a lovely village, with cafés, pubs, fish shop and a friendly village life, beach was beautiful, even on a crisp December morning. Will definitely be coming again

An excellent base to see some of Norfolks beautiful places. Including Sheringham and the North Norfolk steam railway. North walsham has everything and is a lovely walk through woods to get to. A bit far to carry any groceries back though.The cottage is a home from home and the hosts Nicola and John have thought of everything including a welcome hamper so you can have a cuppa while you settle in. Would definitely recommend here and hope to return in the future.

Wallages Cottage at White House Farm in Knapton was very comfortable with almost everything you may need generously provided; a fabulous place for our week’s stay. Nicola & John were lovely hosts and readily available next door, if anything additional was required. The cottages in Knapton are close to the lovely beaches at Mundesley and Cromer, and ideally located for trips to Norwich or The Broads (about 1/2 hr drive away) or further afield in Norfolk including RSPB Titchwell - as well as a plethora of local lovely walks and National Trust houses / gardens.No hesitation in giving 5 stars and would highly recommend. And not surprised it has regularly received the Customers Choice Award too.
