Guests say

The Wanderer is a well-furnished, quirky upside-down cottage in Norwich, appreciated for its great location and comfortable amenities. Guests enjoyed the complimentary extras and the proximity to local attractions, though some noted areas for improvement in modernisation and maintenance.

Cleanliness received mixed reviews, with some guests finding the property clean and well-kept, while others noted issues with dog hairs, dust, and unclean kitchenware. The presence of houseflies and moldy bathroom items were also mentioned, suggesting room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its convenience to the Broads, North Norfolk coast, and local amenities. The proximity to a pub and the setting in a working boatyard added to the charm, despite some comments about access road conditions.

Comfort levels were generally good, with positive remarks about the comfy bed and furniture. However, some guests found the bed hard and the pillows in need of replacement, slightly lowering the score.

Facilities were adequate with a well-equipped kitchen and spacious living areas. Criticisms included outdated elements like the shower curtain, a need for a shower screen, and minor maintenance issues. Wi-Fi connectivity was also a concern for some guests.

Guests appreciated the thoughtful touches such as lovely towels and complimentary goodies, which enhanced their stay. It should be noted that while these extras are a delightful bonus, they are not guaranteed for every visit.

Great location. The cottage in general was lovely, comfortable and had all that was needed. In some parts it lacked a bit of TLC ie the garden needed weeding and looking more presentable. In the bathroom the toilet pull light switch had an awful piece of plastic extending the rope bit that had broken. Not an expensive repair so could not understand why it wasn’t done properly. There were some drip stains on the paint work in the bathroom that had not been wiped up. The shower curtain! Awful un hygienic things !! Update it and get a shower screen. It was a little dated downstairs . Upstairs in the open kitchen dining and living area wasn’t too bad except for horrible plastic flowers. However, this didn’t deter us from having a great time in wonderful Norfolk. We spent most of our time in our sons hired cottage which was in comparable. All modern and fresh and similar price. Despite all those little things we would return to the Wanderers. Lovely towels, complementary goodies, comfy bed and furniture.Just needed that injection of more modern elements and more TLC.

A wonderful cottage in a fantastic location. It is so nice to go somewhere and it is exactly like the photographs. A well looked after place with lots of lovely little extras. Internet could have been better but that did not affect my overall enjoyment, in fact it was nice to be uncontactable.
