After a potter around, enjoy lunch in one of the cosy pubs or cafes. Bamburgh Castle sits high on the clifftop, and is a must-visit for history enthusiasts. Enjoy relaxing strolls along the shoreline of Bamburgh Beach, or join the Northumberland Coast Path for a bracing hike with breathtaking views. The colourful fishing village of Seahouses is 3 miles away and offers boat trips to the Farne Islands. Other nearby days out include the Holy Island of Lindisfarne (16 miles) and the historic town of Alnwick (17 miles).
