Cross the threshold into your new home-from-home and enjoy the woodburning stove, unwind here in front of its warmth and the Smart TV after a day full of exploration. Later, step through into the spacious and fully-equipped kitchen/diner to rustle up a hearty meal that the whole family can enjoy at the dining table before heading outside to either the rear patio or front garden to savour the last light over Northumberland with a glass of your favourite tipple in hand; there is even a heated and covered glass pod so you can enjoy the garden whatever the weather. When the stars appear, head to the first floor to wash off the day in the bathroom ahead of catching up on sleep in the king-size or double bedroom. The truly, breath-taking coastal Bamburgh Castle is also nearby providing ample opportunities for guests to immerse themselves in the area’s history; continue the historic excursion at St Cuthbert’s Cave, Holy Island which houses the Lindisfarne Priory and Lindisfarne Castle or head to Alnwick to explore it magnificent castle and its famous garden. Glorious beaches are also in abundance; admire stunning views across the North Sea from the golden shores of Bamburgh Beach, Seahouses Beach and the beautiful Beadnell Bay Beach. The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.
