High standard cottage in a peaceful setting. The welcome pack of goodies was sensational. I said average for local amenities as the cottage is in a remote location which is one reason why it is so good!

The cottage had the best welcome pack we've had for quite a while. The cottage had a warm, cosy feel to it. The sofa was very comfy and the zip mattress bed was great. Plenty of kitchen goods, although a few more mugs and plates would mean no washing up between putting the dishwasher on every night. The biggest issue was the 'tired' bathroom. It needs an upgrade, as we found mould around the shower, window and in places around the edge of the floor. The blind behind the vanity unit in the bedroom also needs a clean. Also the 'pond' pathway is unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. That said, this is a very comfortable cottage with many plus points. Would we stay in it again. Definitely, especially if the bathroom gets an upgrade, and the pond walk gets some attention. This complex has a lot going for for it and makes a good base for exploring Northumbria. I've a feeling we shall be back.
