Puffin Place sits amongst similar properties in a cul-de-sac, within the picturesque coastal village of Beadnell. This end-terrace house is well-presented throughout, with the kitchen/dining room and the living room being on the ground floor. French doors lead from the living room out onto a decked area, which has a fully enclosed lawned garden. There are three bedrooms on the first floor, with the master bedroom enjoying the convenience of en-suite shower facilities and a Juliet balcony overlooking the rear garden and beyond.
Puffin Place is only 200 yards from the glorious golden sandy beach of Beadnell Bay. This is a popular destination for watersports enthusiasts, with activities including sailing, kite surfing, sea kayaking and scuba diving. The welcoming village of Beadnell offers local facilities with two family friendly pubs serving food, and a local village shop, which are all less than a mile from Puffin Place. Two miles up the coastline is the traditional fishing port of Seahouses, where there are boat trips to the nearby Farne Islands, which depart regularly from its harbour. Here there are several charming tea rooms, quaint pubs and shops.
A further 3 miles up the coastline is the picturesque village of Bamburgh, which lies snuggled in the shadow of its majestic fortress and commands the power and presence of the seasoned television set it regularly becomes. Holy Island – the birthplace of Christianity and site of Lindisfarne Castle – can be seen from the unspoilt golden, sandy beach. Just a few miles inland is the bustling market town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Academy!). Visitors will enjoy a trip to Alnwick Garden – a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden including the Grand Cascade waterfall and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe! Shop, pub and restaurant 750 yards.

Another good week in Northumberland, again based at Puffin Place!

Great for dog walks near beaches. Very good local restaurant. Bedroom and lounge furniture etc good, but...Lack of care about details. To many minor things that would be great and have made all the difference eg:Cigarette ends left outside front door. Smells poorly disguised by overpowering spray of some sort. Fridge also had unpleasant smell of some kind of cleansing product. Lots of dvds but no dvd player. This has been commented on in the visitor book in Jan. 2025Chairs in kitchen really unstable and very uncomfortable. Hand towel in downstairs loo was a bath mat.Not all bathrooms had hand soap and there was hardly any of it. No key to window and no working fan in en suite. One tea bag, some sugar sachets, salt, vinegar and brown sauce to welcomes us. Blue visitors file out of date. It could have contained some more useful and interesting information.

Have stayed in various houses on this estate many times previously. Puffin Place is a comfortable and very clean unit and would have scored higher, but for a number of maintenance issues which should be addressed.
