Drive to nearby Alnwick (12 miles) for market day every Thursday and Saturday or to tour the fantastic Alnwick Castle. Alternatively, Alnwick Gardens offers 12 acres of meandering landscaped gardens home to the world's largest Tai Haku cherry orchard, a ‘Grand Cascade’ comprising 120 water jets and the world’s largest treehouse restaurant. For a day out at the seaside, the sandy beach at Alnmouth (17 miles) is perfect for a barefoot walk and a paddle.
