The open-plan living area is particularly inviting with a bright and airy seating area adjoining patio doors leading outside to the stunning decking area and gardens. On sunny days, you can imagine spending lots of time out here soaking up the sun, chilling out on the decking and exploring the gardens. Step into the fully fitted kitchen which has everything the designated chef needs to conjure up delicious meals for the whole holiday party.
The dining area is ready and waiting for guests to pull up a chair and enjoy long, lazy meals together. Come bedtime and there are three superbly appointed bedrooms, two doubles and a twin; all offer a restful sanctuary after a hard day of exploring and after a refreshing shower or a relaxing soak in the bath, you’re ready to get out and about. It’s just a short walk to the sandy beaches of Seahouses with the village itself well worth a visit, offering a good variety of shops and eateries. You can catch a boat from here to Farne Islands where you can look out for birds and seals.
Jump in the car and head out to attractions such as Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Dunstanburgh Castle, Northumberland Country Zoo, Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre and Hadrian’s Wall. Nearby are miles and miles of splendid sandy beaches and the opportunity to visit the bird sanctuary or seal colony on the famous Farne Islands with boat trips running daily from Seahouses, is not to be missed. There are numerous castles and great houses to explore, such as the magnificent castles at Bamburgh, Cragside, and Alnwick (home of the Duke of Northumberland), to mention just a few. Golf, fishing and riding are also available locally.

Clean and comfortable beds only down side the drive up to the property was very tight as we have a large car

It meets all our holiday needs and is well equipped as well as being clean and tidy. It provides us with a base when the weather isnât kind and the warm utility room meant that we had somewhere to dry our clothes and shoes. Looking forward to our next visit.

The ensuite bedroom had thick dust and sweet wrappers behind the bedside tables which haven't been cleaned in months, the shower base was thick of crud which i had to clean before using, the place is damp which resulted in us having to keep the building aired throughout our stay as my nephew suffers with Asthma. Inside windows dirty if i could have found some window cleaner they would have been cleaned, the waste bin in the kitchen was thick of dirt underneath the bin bag. We tried to contact Sykes to notify that we would be arriving Saturday due to other family commitments and were unable to, hence the reason for not trying to contact you with the issues raised.
