Orchid Lodge is highly praised for its cleanliness, modern amenities, and thoughtful touches, including a welcome pack. The tranquil setting and well-maintained grounds contribute to a comfortable stay, though the lack of a direct footpath to Saltburn and variable Wi-Fi are noted. The property is dog-friendly, with some considerations for pet safety.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently describe the lodge as spotlessly clean and well-presented, indicating a high standard of cleanliness that contributes positively to their overall experience.

The lodge's peaceful setting is appreciated, though the absence of a direct footpath to Saltburn and the need for a car to access local amenities slightly detract from the location's convenience.

Reviews highlight the lodge's comfort, mentioning comfortable beds, a clean and cosy environment, and a peaceful atmosphere, all contributing to a relaxing stay.

The lodge is well-equipped with modern facilities, though some guests experienced issues with Wi-Fi and hot water. The presence of supermarkets nearby and the quality of the welcome pack are positively noted.

The welcome pack is frequently mentioned and appreciated, indicating a level of thoughtfulness in hosting. However, as gifts can vary and are not guaranteed, guests should consider this a delightful bonus rather than an expectation.

But my issues were the location as it is not near the beach it is not near anything. If you’ve got a car it’s fine but due to a serious accident I’m unable to drive so I came by train. It’s a long story but it was very upsetting when I saw the hill I’d have to go up to get there because I knew it was impossible for me . My sister and brother in law had to drive over from Leeds as I was stranded I couldn’t get a dog friendly taxi I couldn’t get a bus it was a complete nightmare with a heavy case my dog and only one properly working arm . I only stayed there for 2 nights as I felt completely isolated so it turned into an expensive holiday. I moved to another place that was next to the beach in Redcar which was perfect for us . If you want a lovely lodge in a peaceful location listening to the sounds of nature yes it’s perfect but if you haven’t got a car I wouldn’t recommend it .

    Really enjoyed our stay.

Poor response to complaints. Couldn’t use any of the grounds as events were on. Not really ideal for dogs as no off lead area. Would not recommend.
