It offers a well-equipped space with a large kitchen and beautiful views, ideal for families and situated conveniently for exploring the surrounding areas. The garden is a highlight, though some guests noted the proximity to a main road and a mine as minor concerns.

The location is generally appreciated for its accessibility to local attractions and beautiful views. However, some guests mentioned disturbance from a nearby main road and concerns about dust from a local mine, which slightly affects the score.

Staithes 2 miles. Settled in the quaint village of Easlington, just a short drive away from the seaside village of Staithes, is this beautiful barn conversion, Valley View. Enjoying a private patio with furniture and barbecue to spend an afternoon in the sun and adorned with beamed ceilings, this three-bedroom home is ideal for a family of six. On arrival, park up in an off-road parking space before making your way inside, where you can unwind in the sitting room on the plush sofa as the electric stove gently heats the space. Stepping through the property, locate the spacious kitchen, where the foodie of the group can rustle up heart-warming meals, courtesy of the electric oven and hob; when dinner is served gather in the dining room for a treat. After an evening well spent playing games or escaping into a good book, climb upstairs and relax your muscles in the bathroom, where a heated rail will keep your towel fluffy and warm. Choose between a king-size bedroom with a TV or a lovely twin bedroom and head downstairs to the ground floor to curl up in the double with its own en-suite shower room. For a much-needed escape to North Yorkshire, escape to Valley View. Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 1090741 and 1090743, together sleeping up to 18 guests.
With its cobblestone streets and back lanes, the picturesque and peaceful seaside village of Staithes is somewhat of an artist's dream. Its charming buildings and cottages are grouped around the historic harbour, which is flanked on three sides by high jagged cliffs, with a secluded sandy beach nestled among the rocky shoreline. Captain Cook, who was apprenticed to a draper near the waterfront, has ties to the community. Staithes is now a must-see for anybody visiting the Yorkshire Coast, with a diverse range of pubs, shops, and tea places. Staithes still has an rnli lifeboat station, as well as a small fleet of cobles (fishing boats) that land fish, crab, and lobster, as well as boat trips for birdwatching, fishing, and even whale watching. Old Jack's Boat, a popular BBC children's television series, is filmed there.
