A beautiful barn conversion with living accommodation, kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor and an upper floor bedroom at each end of the barn (one double and one twin). There's central heating and a wood burning stove when needed (with wood supplied), a TV with DVD player & a huge selection of DVDs, and plenty of books including guides to Hadrain's Wall, Lanercost Priory etc. The owners were friendly and helpful without intruding. One of the best self-catering holiday lets we've visited. Highly recommended.

Excellent cottage for relaxation or walking All the kitchen equipment you need and a private and peaceful garden. Very comfortable sofas and beds and plenty of space for 2 or 4. The dog loved lying in the garden watching the world go by or snoozing after a walk.Half an hour walk up hill to a piece of Hadrians Wall, so well placed and not really interrupted by walkers as the path was about 100 yards from the property.
