The Old Reading Room is a delightful cottage set in the popular village of Cotehill in the Eden Valley. Completely renovated and refurbished in 2021 it has been beautifully presented and is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the comforts of this lovely cottage. From the cottage there is easy road access to a variety of the north’s most spectacular scenery and places of interest. Enjoy a day exploring the Lake District National Park, the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and, of course, Hadrian’s Wall which is basically on your doorstep, or even a day trip to Scotland to discover the beautiful Scottish Borders.

Nice property. Good location . Could do with a mirror in main bedroom . Also blinds needed in small bedroom. Also a mirror above bathroom sink . Also no instructions on where to put your rubbish /recycling

The furnishings are complimentary to the name of the accommodation There is evidence that the owners have spent money to make the accommodation comfortable but the cleaning let them down. If you decide to rent the accommodation just to let you know there is no village shop so you will need to shop before you arrive. Ladies you will need to bring your own hairdryer as I couldn’t find one. Would have been nice to have a mirror in the main bedroom.
