Set in a beautifully secluded spot on a working farm, this light-filled lodge makes a cosy holiday home for families and couples seeking an idyllic rural escape. Featuring stunning views, the property offers friendly accommodation for up to four guests and is ideally situated for exploring the northernmost reaches of the Lake District and the Solway Coast. Tastefully decorated in soothing tones, and providing miles of fantastic walks, this spacious cabin is a fabulous getaway for eager walkers, climbers and hikers.
This cheerful lodge features an airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with wall-to-wall windows offering glorious views. With a Smart TV/DVD, a warming wood burner and plenty of seating, the lounge is an ideal space for settling back and unwinding in at the end of a great day. The farmhouse-style dining table is perfect for enjoying all your favourite meals which you can cook in the fully equipped and attractively designed kitchen. There’s a choice of two cosy and relaxing bedrooms, each with floor-to-ceiling windows: a double room and an en-suite king-size room, along with a stylish family bathroom. French doors lead from the living area onto the raised decked space with outdoor furniture which makes a pleasant spot for taking in the views and watching the lambs in spring.
The picturesque village of Caldbeck is nearby (2 miles) and has some welcoming pubs and cafes as well as a duck pond and cricket club. There are plenty of walks from the lodge, with the peaks of High Pike (8.5 miles) and Carrock Fell (7.5 miles) offering magnificent views for more experienced walkers, or you can stroll along the Howk to the ruins of a bobbin mill (3 miles).
