Guests say

Fellside Barn in Broughton Beck is highly praised for its stunning location, exceptional hosts, and generous welcome hamper. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, cleanliness, and the property's suitability for dogs. The open-plan living space and tranquil surroundings are recurrent positive notes, although some guests mention the furnishings could be updated and the garden better maintained.

Most guests found the property clean and comfortable, with only a few noting issues with flies and cobwebs. The majority of reviews do not raise cleanliness as a concern, suggesting a high standard overall.

The location is consistently lauded for its tranquillity, beautiful views, and proximity to the Lake District and local amenities. It is described as an ideal base for exploring the surrounding areas.

The property is generally considered comfortable, with a spacious open-plan area and a warm welcome. Some guests, however, found the beds too firm and the furnishings dated, which slightly affects the comfort score.

The property is well-equipped, with a particularly well-received kitchen. However, comments about the lack of a second toilet, dated furnishings, and the need for a freezer suggest that some facilities could be improved.

Guests frequently mention the generous welcome hamper, indicating a high level of thoughtfulness from the hosts. It should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, may vary and are not guaranteed.

Amazing location and lovely hosts. The welcome hamper was the best we've ever had; including bread, milk, eggs, butter plus tea & coffee. The cottage was lovely & warm with fabulous views of the nearby fells. Lots of information about local attractions and walks especially what was dog friendly. The hosts, Sheila & Brian were so helpful and it was especially nice to meet their lovely dog. We loved the open plan layout and the kitchen had everything needed to cook there. Ulverston was about 15 minutes away and had lots of local shops as well as a few supermarkets. Would recommend 100%

The beds were very firm, and the property was a little dated and in need of some maintenance, love and care. The TV needs some attention especially when weather conditions are poor, the digital signal was poor. The owners welcomed us and a very generous welcome pack was provided especially welcome since we arrived late in the day. Property was warm and a great location for visiting the area.
