We used it as a base to do some hiking in the Lake District and it was perfectly located. While the hikes were amazing, we loved returning âhomeâ to this lovely, well appointed and cosy cottage, making good use of the log burner on those chilly February evenings. The pre-arrival communication from Tracey was excellent and we found everything straightforward for our self-check-in (the homemade bread and jam was a most welcome and delicious surprise!). All in all, Chapel Cottage offered a lovely home from home for a long weekend and we very much look forward to returning in the future.

Would happily stay here again

Having stayed in quite a number of holiday cottages Chapel Cottage is high on our list, it was absolutely perfect, spotlessly clean and provided everything we needed and more. The peace and tranquility really made it for us after travelling to visit local attractions to return to bliss. We will certainly be recommending Chapel Cottage to all our family and friends. Our only concern was, and please don't take this as a complaint, was that the heating was set rather low for the time year. We overcome this by the mesmoration of having a log fire, which we totally enjoyed. We were a bit worried that we could leave the cottage in the same state of cleanliness, but we absolutely did our best.
