The local pub and community feel add to the charm, making it a recommended stay for a relaxing break.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be spotless, with particular attention to the kitchen and bathroom. One review mentioned areas that were not as clean, but this seems to be an isolated case in the context of otherwise glowing cleanliness reports.
The cottage's location is frequently highlighted as peaceful and ideal for walks, with a local pub nearby. Its proximity to the Lake District and the community feel of the village contribute to its high location score.
Guests consistently describe the cottage as comfortable, warm, and welcoming, with a log burner for added cosiness. The comfortable bedding and ample space contribute to the high comfort rating.
The property is equipped with modern facilities like TV/Netflix, a well-stocked kitchen, and a log burner. The grounds are well-maintained, and the cottage is fitted to a high standard. One review mentioned a desire for a corner shop, but overall, the facilities are very well-regarded.
Many reviews mention the thoughtful gestures by the owners, such as welcome packs for guests and dogs, homemade bread, and an information pack with local recommendations. While these gifts are warmly received, it's important to note that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.
