Guests have praised the cottage for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location, ideal for exploring the local area and enjoying the tranquility. The well-equipped kitchen and cosy atmosphere are frequently mentioned, alongside the convenience of nearby amenities and eateries. While some guests noted the lack of outdoor space and minor issues, the overall experience is reported as very positive, with many expressing a desire to return.
The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with numerous guests commenting on its immaculate condition. One incident of cleaning not being completed upon arrival slightly affects the score.
The location is highly regarded for its proximity to both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District, with easy access to local shops and restaurants. The peaceful setting by a brook adds to its charm.
Comfort is a standout feature, with guests highlighting the comfortable beds and furnishings. The cosy living space and warm atmosphere contribute to a relaxing stay, though some guests found the stairs challenging.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and modern bathrooms. However, the absence of a freezer and outdoor space, along with some maintenance issues like heating problems, slightly lower the score.
Guests appreciated the welcome hamper and the owners' guide, which added a personal touch to their stay. However, as not all guests received these gifts and there's no guarantee of such extras, the score reflects this variability.

Sedbergh (pronounced Sed-Ber) is an ancient market town in northern Dentdale, situated at the foot of the magnificent and wild Howgill Fells. Sedbergh is only 12 miles from the Lake District National Park and is located just inside the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The town has an olde worlde feel to it, with narrow streets, small stores, traditional bars, a notable school dating back to 1525, and a 12th century church. The serenity of the surrounding valleys makes it a great year-round vacation spot.
