Recently refurbished to a high standard, the house accommodates seven people in four bedrooms and is ideal for families.

Beach Rise is a wonderful waterfront holiday cottage in Silverdale, with fantastic views, plenty of living space, and accommodation for seven people to sleep in four bedrooms. We aren't exaggerating the "waterfront" aspect, either. You only have to open the garden gate and take a few steps to be on the sandy shoreline of Morecambe Bay - there's simply nothing between you and these incredible views. The cottage is in the quiet village of Silverdale in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's utterly tranquil yet still provides you with the amenities you want for your self-catering holiday, including a small supermarket, a fantastic cafe, and a welcoming 19th Century pub.

Silverdale is a friendly Lancashire community of people who know that they live in one of the most beautiful places in the north of England. It's on the edge of the rspb Leighton Moss Reserve, where a diverse range of birds and wildfowl flourish in the protected environment. Enjoy walking along the coast and through woodlands and wetlands, discovering different sights depending on the season you're there. A favourite walk is to neighbouring Arnside and Arnside Knott. You can walk around Levens Park, passing Levens Hall and going close to Sizergh Castle. Alternatively, follow the Limestone Link to Hutton Roof Crags Nature Reserve, go along the coast to Jenny Brown's Point and Lindeth Tower, or ramble around Dallam Park and Milnthorpe. The Lake District National Park and Forest of Bowland are only a few miles away, while the Yorkshire Dales National Park is also within easy reach. Within a small radius are endless miles of footpaths, mountain bike trails, bridleways and other tracks to help you explore far and wide.

Apart from gorgeous walks, thrilling mountain bike rides, and swooshing along coastal roads, fun things to do during your stay at Beach Rise include fishing in Morecambe Bay or Windermere, following the tern nature trail or the Bay Cycleway around Morecambe, or playing golf. Test your sense of direction (and your patience) at the Lakeland Maze Farm Park, book tickets for a performance or exhibit at one of the region's theatres and art centres, and relive favourite childhood moments at the World of Beatrix Potter.

Beach Rise is along a private drive, well away from any roads, so there is little passing traffic to disturb the peace. You have front-row seats to stunning sunsets over the water from the house and garden, both of which are welcoming to children and dogs as well as adults. Bookings are available all year round.
