Hope Cottage is a truly delightful holiday home settled in the heart of the village of Youlgreave, amongst the rural greenery of the Peak District National Park. This white-washed cottage is idyllically positioned for groups of both families and friends wishing to enjoy some overdue quality time together in this picturesque part of the country. Park up in the off-road parking area before unloading your belongings and accessing your new home-from-home through the rear of the cottage, where you will be welcomed by the charming dining room, sure to host many delicious meals during your stay. Feel the cosyness of the cottage as you head through to the snug sitting room, where exposed wooden beams and an inglenook fireplace highlight the property's original character; put your feet up and enjoy a moment of peace in front of the television as the wood burning stove crackles nearby. When stomachs start to rumble, discover the well-equipped kitchen, uniquely designed with a fascinating "fossil spotting" wall and housing all of the essential amenities, including a handy washing machine to help keep your holiday attire fresh and clean! A wet room and a sumptuous double bedroom complete the ground floor whilst upstairs you will find the master bedroom, fitted with a king-size bed, along with a twin room and a stylish family bathroom. Youlgreave is nestled between two of the area's most beautiful valleys, Lathkill Dale and Bradford Dale to the south. This beautiful community has three pubs serving Home Cooked meals, two stores (one with a Post Office) and an ancient church. Bakewell, a charming market town, lies nearby and hosts a weekly market. The Peak District National Park is nearby, as are several magnificent homes, such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall, Kedleston Hall, and Clake Abbey. Alton Towers, Britain's top theme park, is only a short drive away.

We were winter visitors and the cottage was truly warm and cosy, all the amenities were first rate, a lot of TLC has gone into this lovely Youlgrave cottage which is truly dog friendly, treats await them, not forgetting their owners! Your own car space in this peaceful but busy little village, so close to all Peak favourites, Bakewell, just minutes away as is glorious Chatsworth. Really lovely and helpful owner, always a bonus, 3 dog friendly pubs in such a small village, dog friendly and very good food. Would be heaven in the summer months, Thank you Kirsty.

We loved the pooch tin and doggy treats and so did our dog! The cottage is well equipped and a comfortable space for our family and dog. Off road parking is a bonus. The owners were great at communicating details and keeping us posted on things. We really enjoyed our stay at Hope Cottage and if in the area again, would happily return.

Youlgrave was a perfect destination for us with outstanding walks right on the doorstep. The communication from the owners was first class, lovely welcome pack and very accommodating with access and exit times which was most appreciated. Would not hesitate to recommend.
