Silcrest is a well-equipped cottage in Bakewell, praised for its comfort, lovely garden, and suitability for dog owners. Guests appreciate its proximity to local amenities and the Peak District, though some noted traffic noise. The property's unique oven and TV setup received mixed feedback, and while cleanliness was generally satisfactory, a deeper clean was suggested.
The property was generally found to be clean, particularly the bathroom. However, some guests felt that a more thorough deep clean was needed, especially to address pet hairs.
The location is highly regarded for its easy access to local attractions and the Peak District. Some guests mentioned road noise, but the convenience and walkability to amenities were well-received.
The beds were found to be comfortable, and the property was considered cosy. However, some guests found the duvets too warm for the summer and the single bed too high, which may affect overall comfort.
Facilities like the dog wash and garden were appreciated, but guests encountered issues with the oven and TV. Recommendations for improvements were made, such as clearer instructions and additional kitchen equipment.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

The cottage is lovely. It has everything you need and is in a good location. The TV in the living room , no instructions and we could only achieve limited channels ( Channel 4, 4+1, E4) . We were not too bothered. The one in the bedroom was fine. Dog wash very good and useful. Oven is unique, never come across one like it and not sure how you cook more than one thing with only round shelves . Did not plan on cooking much but could not find instructions if I had wanted to. We had a lovely stay and these are not complaints just pointers for next guests.
