Close to the centre of the vibrant spa town of Buxton, this beautifully updated retreat makes a fabulous base for discovering a magnificent corner of the magical Derbyshire countryside. Buxton is known for its thermal spas and elegant Georgian and Victorian architecture, with historic landmarks including The Crescent, Buxton Opera House and the Pavilion Gardens. On the outskirts of the town you can explore the spellbinding Poole’s Cavern set within the beautiful Buxton and Country Park (2 miles), where you will also find the distinctive Solomon’s Temple (3.5 miles). Buxton is perfectly located for experiencing the Peak District National Park, with an array of local attractions and landmarks within easy reach, including Chatsworth House, Blue John Cavern, Haddon Hall, Lud’s Church, Magpie Mine and the delightful market town of Bakewell, all within 16 miles.

Entering this charming cottage, the welcoming hallway leads directly into the front lounge. With comfortable seating, a Smart TV, and a charming wood burner, this characterful space is ideal for unwinding in after a great day out. One of the sofas also converts into a useful sofa bed for additional guests. Back across the hallway, the second lounge serves as the dining room and features a large cinematic OLED screen with cinema-style sound, alongside a second wood burner set in a stone inglenook, plus plush seating, and a sociable dining table as well as a useful desk. From here, you can step through to the fully equipped and stylishly arranged kitchen. Heading up the steep and narrow cottage-style stairs, you will find the three fresh and cosy bedrooms, each with a handy TV: you can choose between a charming queen-size room and two snug doubles. Please note that the two double bedrooms each feature low, sloping ceilings with skylights allowing natural light to stream in. The accommodation is rounded off with a refreshing bathroom.

Stepping outside, the sunny tiered garden offers a lovely landscaped decked area with ample outdoor furniture, making a delightful space for enjoying some al fresco dining on a peaceful sunny afternoon. Bike storage is available in the backyard, and on-street car parking can be found nearby.
