Fully renovated in 2025, The Loft and The Cowshed offer cosy, characterful accommodation ideal for couples and solo travellers keen to explore this stunning part of the country. The building itself is steeped in history, dating back to at least the 18th century, with some accounts suggesting it could be over 400 years old.
The Loft, located on the first floor, is a light-filled studio featuring a vaulted, beamed ceiling and Velux windows. Hi had a lovely trip to the Loft in Earl Sterndale. The place was very cosy and clean. Spectacular walks from the front door and an easy bus ride into Buxton. I don’t drive, so the lack of local shop was a bit tricky, but I was able to bring enough food for the week. Was grateful for a top up of tea bags and toilet roll from the really helpful and friendly owners. I would thoroughly recommend staying and look forward to returning. Thank you!
