About this property

Bradshaw House rests in the heart of Castleton, offering a charming detached retreat for families and small groups eager to uncover the magic of the Peak District National Park.

Step inside to find a well-equipped kitchen, complete with an Rayburn, Ninja oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, toaster and air fryer – everything you need for easy home cooking. Meals can be shared in the inviting dining room, warmed by an electric fire, while the living room provides a relaxing spot to unwind beside the gas fire and enjoy a film on the Smart TV.

The sleeping arrangements include a double room, a family room with a double and single bed, and a single room, all served by a spacious bathroom with both a bath and walk-in shower. Central heating keeps the house comfortable year-round.

Outdoors, you can start the day with a quiet coffee on the front patio or spend your evenings in the enclosed, multi-level rear courtyard – perfect for a breath of fresh air after a day exploring. There’s also WiFi throughout and a designated parking space for one car.

With Castleton’s shops and pubs a short stroll away, and the picturesque towns of Hope, Buxton and Bakewell easily reached by car, Bradshaw House makes a wonderful base for exploring local landmarks such as Peveril Castle, the Blue John Cavern and Mam Tor. All of this and more is waiting for you at Bradshaw House.

The picturesque village of Castleton nestles in the beautiful Esk Valley, in the heart of the North York Moors National Park. Surrounded by stunning scenery, this bustling village offers superb amenities including two pubs, both serving great food, a convenience store, deli & tea rooms. There is a railway station serving the Esk Valley and Whitby, which also links with the steam line to the attractive market town of Pickering. The Camphill Village Trust community of Botton is nearby, with its craft workshops and shops selling home produced food, craft items and books. The historic city of York is just over an hour away, and the coastal towns and villages of Whitby, Staithes, Robin Hood's Bay and Sandsend with its lovely beach, are within easy driving distance, and well worth a visit.
