This delightful, Grade ll listed, terraced property is located on the sea front in Ramsgate, Kent. Once belonging to the Admiralty, this property is full of character and charm. Coastguard Retreat offers three spacious bedrooms, two with sea views, a well-equipped kitchen and an open plan living/dining area with uninterrupted sea views. The property has been lovingly decorated and furnished to an excellent standard.
Located within a stone’s throw of the sea, this property is a lovely sea side location for couples, friends and families to enjoy. The local pub is a short walk away, and there is plenty to explore in the local area. The picturesque, royal harbour area has many bars and cafés open all year round and boasts incredible views across to France on a clear day. The town also boasts a variety of beaches. The area is steeped in history with its stunning architecture and heroic role it played in World War II. There are miles of walks, including the famous Viking Trail, plenty of cycle routes, three large golf courses and several nature reserves at Pegwell and Sandwich.
There are good transport connections to London by either train or bus, or visit Ashford for rail connections to enjoy a day trip to France. Canterbury, with its incredible cathedral, boutique shops and dominant city walls, can be quickly reached by bus, train or car. Beach 100 yards. Shop and restaurant ¼ mile, pub 100 yards.

Great stay at Coastguard 's, friendly hosts marvellous welcome pack. So close to nature walks, Pegwell Bay. History at the Ramsgate WW2 air raid shelters and historical harbour. Many great restaurants close by. Great chance to ditch the car and use local businesses. Can't wait to return.

We’ve really loved staying in this house. It’s a beautiful place in a great location. However, a few key issues let it down. Most importantly, the fridge/freezer needs replacing as it doesn’t work properly. Regardless of whether the property is up for sale, renting it out is still a business and guests should expect basic amenities to be in full working order.Additionally, the TV doesn’t offer access to the main channels, which was a bit of a disappointment.Overall it's a lovely property and we’ve enjoyed our time there. just a shame the owners don’t seem willing to invest in essential upkeep for their guests’ comfort.

The property was in a fantastic location with views of the sea. It was a 10 min walk to Ramsgate Harbour which is packed with good restaurants, pubs & shops. The property itself is good & the hosts left us a lovely welcome pack. The only drawback is that there is no lighting outside the property which was a drawback when arriving back late at night after a day of walking. And the key safe was at the very bottom of the front door, which was not a problem for us but if you have mobility issues it may be a struggle. And also as there is no light to help you if you arrive & it is dark. But please do not be put off by this as it was only 2 minor points and if we travel back to this beautiful area we would use again.
