The market town of Stow-on-the-Wold sits on top of an 800ft hill, at the junction of the main roads running through the Cotswolds, including the Roman Fosse Way, which runs from Exeter to Lincoln. There is a selection of shops and restaurants, as well the Medieval St Edward's Church, historic market square and Fosse Gallery, while the 17th Century Chastleton House, owned by the National Trust, is within easy reach.
