On the edge of the Cotswolds, not too far from Oxford, you’ll find the pretty market town of Chipping Norton. Like much of the Cotswolds this is a picturesque and relaxing place to stay; ideal for a cottage holiday.
There has been a market in this town since the 13th century and if you’re there on a Wednesday don’t miss the weekly stalls where you can find all manner of goodies. In the spring and summer, you can visit the intriguing independent museum which is run by the Local History Society. Obviously, with the Cotswolds at your feet, there is plenty of countryside to explore and various walks to enjoy. Don’t miss the excellent fish and chips either.
