For me this very spacious beautiful house with a wonderful location overlooking the sea was simply a perfect retreat from my busy stressful life. The large kitchen / dinner was so well appointed with truly lots of cutlery, plates, mugs and wine glasses that it enabled my friend to justify to me using the dishwasher. The table was set take to 8 people but could easily fit 10.I have a miniature poodle that is always very nervous when I go away even when I leave him with close family …the garden at Marine Villa is ideal as completely enclosed so I could let him out at night for his last toilet needs instead of having to do another walk. My aunt brought her large black lab who is soft as they come ..he loved laying in large hallway as he is not used to stairs in my aunt’s bungalow. But more importantly both he and my Rolo were absolutely delighted to be able to walk along Goring’s green and socialise with so many other dogs. And we were able just to sit on the many benches and listen to and see the sea. About 200 yards or so away is the very busy Sea Lane café …. here dogs are welcome inside and outside …but there is a human only area upstairs to the right. The food here is very good for lunch (it closes at 4pm) and the cakes quite frankly are to die for. My mum who is 86 and so now very picky eater had the butcher’s sausage egg and chips and said it was delicious. If you want to cook dinner in …it is so easy with the Tesco app and its WOOSH service, just make sure you change the delivery address to Marine villa as you order. Worthing itself is about 7-minute drive away with a larger selection of shops etc. Also 7 mins away by car is the wonderful English Martyrs Catholic Church with a 2/3 replica of the Sistine chapel painted on its ceiling by an untrained but gifted artist. It took him 5 ½ years to do it and when he had finished doing his outline in pencil there was just an inch and ½ of spare wall .Beautiful and fascinating .I have stayed in many 5 * hotels with beds not as comfortable as these here …but the top advantage to me is that I can bring my dog easily with a hour and ½ drive.GORING IS CERTAINY NOT BORING as the local are proud to say.

Overall, a great spot for a family break.Garden and barbecue enjoyed by our group.Plenty of parking for 4 cars. Ideal situation for beach, cafes and recreation.6 adults and 3 small children struggled a bit with shower/bathroom facilities.Master bedroom suite particularly comfortable.A hairdryer would have been appreciated.
