First of all, and this is directed at the owner of the property - have a word with whoever cleans your property! They really need to do a better job! Cobwebs on the ceiling, dust on shelves, years of grime around the hob. I would also expect things like the fridge freezer, utensils and dinnerware to be spotlessly clean. We spent an hour cleaning before we even started to unpack. Couldn’t find anything to clean the cobwebs thoughWhen you pull up to the property, first impressions matter and I really got a bad feeling with mine. The outside of the property looks shabby, the doors from the ground floor room haven’t seen a can of paint in some time (yes, I’m aware it’s coastal but this looked more than a couple of years of coastal wear and tear), the side path to the house is a mess and the driveway still has a bunch of weeds growing (despite a previous reviewer removing a load). I’m also unsure how you’d fit 3 cars in front of the house. Inside is better but everything still looks tired and in need of repair or refreshing. If you’re booking this property and looking to get the downstairs beds converted to king size - don’t bother. The beds in that room aren’t the ones shown in the photo and there’s no way they link together. On the subject of downstairs, you probably won’t be using that kitchen. Yes, it’s got all the listed appliances but it’s probably more a utility room with extras. Ideal for making a cuppa or an extra fridge but you probably won’t be preparing meals in there. Decent washing machine and tumble drier though. I can also imagine the downstairs being quite chilly in the colder months - something to be aware of. Upstairs lounge/kitchen is better. Still looks tired (faded curtains, scruffy cushions etc) and the sofas look like they’ve seen an awful lot of bums sat on them but they’re comfy. Decent smart TV and WiFi pretty good (plenty enough for streaming tv - might struggle with 4K). Large fridge freezer (had to de-ice the freezer though as the last occupants must have left the door open a bit and the ice had built up stopping the door from closing properly), oven is ok, hob is ok (could do with a good scrub though) but the microwave is quite old and the labels on the buttons had worn - took a while to work out what was what. Dining area would struggle to seat 8 - comfortably 6 though. Didn’t venture out on to the balcony. Bedrooms are ok, nobody complained about the comfort of the mattresses and there is plenty of storage but most of the drawers need attention (falling apart a bit). The bunk bed room is really only suitable for kids - an adult would really struggle and bruised heads would be likely. The attic room is fine but once again - watch the low ceiling. Marvellous sunset views from that room though. Bathrooms and en suite are all perfectly adequate (if a bit grubby - rust marks, dodgy loo seats and the like). The electric showers do the job and the mixer shower in the main bathroom is quite good. There’s a hot water tank on an economy 7 timer so you need to keep on top of the water usage but the boost button works (someone had previously messed with the timer to have the water heating in the day but I reset it back to the correct time), we never once ran out of hot water. One more thing while I think about it - the main bathroom door lock has failed and been replaced with a slide lock on the inside of the door meaning you’d have to break the door down were there an emergency and you needed to gain access. This needs sortingLast moan - the ‘garden’ isn’t a garden as such. It’s a small patio area with really old mismatched bench seats and tables. No grass at all if you have a fussy dog. There are plenty of grassy places for a dog to do their business within a few minutes walk though So the really good stuff now - the location is absolutely perfect. Literally 5 mins walk from the beach, it’s a mostly quiet area (you are on a route back from the ocean cafe though so you can hear the odd noisy bu99er late at night walking past), plenty of good dog walking routes and Broad Haven beach is just lovely with a very large area for dogs (check the tide times before you book though. The beach gets mostly covered at high tide). The front of the house is east facing so the evening sun streams in and the sunset view from the bedrooms is lovely. If you’re driving, there are plenty of other absolutely beautiful beaches within 30 minutes. You have to find time to go to Marloes Sands beach - stunning! Haverfordwest is an easy 20 minute drive for supermarkets. Don’t go during rush hour though!!Would I stay there again? Possibly for the location and convenience. If the house got a bit of a spruce up and refresh, then I’d definitely return. When I booked last year, I don’t remember there being any bad reviews posted so after reading the recent postings I was a bit concerned the week before but it’s really not as bad as other reviews have made out. It’s certainly not the worst place I’ve stayed, definitely not the best.

First impression of the holiday home was not good. Exterior dirty and peeling paint everywhere. The downstairs of the property is miserable, dark and cold. Living areas are tired and shabby. Broken work surfaces, faded curtains, torn seats on dining chairs, ripped cushions the list goes on and on. Bedrooms, all mattresses uncomfortable and some dirty linen. Bathrooms, grotty, dirty, rusty, nothing positive to say. Holes in walls, heaters falling off walls, cobwebs everywhere. Dirty windows, broken drawers in units which were also full of rubbish.Would not recommend this property. If it was £250 for a week in high season it might be worth booking but otherwise there are so many better properties for the same value. Wouldn’t book again, worst holiday home we’ve ever stayed in. Property is not up to standard and shouldn’t be available to book and the description that is written on the booking page is so very far from the truth.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this property. There are some positives about the house- it’s in a wonderful position as it’s a two minute walk from the beach . It is spacious and is well equipped. However it is only superficially clean. The bedding and towels were clean and all surfaces looked clean. The bannister leading to the first floor looked as if the paint had worn away with black showing through. When I cleaned it of the dirt the paint was white! The cushions smelt stale and I washed several of them - I couldn’t do all of them because the cushions weren’t pads but just stuffing. The ones I did wash were a different colour to the others. A pile of table mats were on the table but only the top one was clean the others had stale food on them. One of the mattress covers in the ground floor bedroom had a brown stain of dubious origin on it. Finally the outside drive was covered in weeds - I removed the tallest ones. The side of the house where the key safe is located was littered with broken bodyboards , buckets and spades all of which I tidied up and moved to the end where I discovered two used dog poo bags! The house and side area need a really good clean, the cushions need replacing and some of the furniture also needs replacing eg sofas, chest of drawers in the top bedroom ( unable to use as the drawers were broken. I have stayed in many holiday homes over the years and have never felt the need to complain but this is one I would not return to .
