Gumburnville is a charming and spacious cottage in a peaceful hamlet near Camelford, ideal for exploring North Cornwall. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, enclosed garden, and three bathrooms, making it suitable for families and dog owners. The property offers good value for money and a relaxing atmosphere, though some mention low ceilings in the attic bedroom and tight parking. While most found the cottage comfortable and welcoming, a few noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it is a lovely base for a quiet Cornish getaway.
Several guests found the cottage clean and tidy, especially the bathrooms and bedrooms. However, multiple reviews mention issues such as dog hair, dirty kitchenware, and areas needing more attention, which affected some stays.
The cottage is praised for its quiet, rural setting and proximity to North Cornwall attractions like Tintagel and Port Isaac. Guests note the need for a car due to the remote location, but appreciate the peaceful environment.
Guests generally found the cottage comfortable, with spacious rooms and a cosy atmosphere. Some mention less comfortable mattresses and awkward sloping ceilings in the attic bedroom, but most enjoyed their stay.
The property is well-equipped with a kitchen, three bathrooms, and a smart TV. However, some guests experienced issues with appliances (e.g., dishwasher), maintenance, and parking, which limited convenience for a few visitors.
There are no mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

Lovely cottage with interesting history, excellent for exploring North Cornwall. Spacious property with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, but attic bedroom has severely sloping ceilings so getting in and out of bed difficult. Fabulous bathroom but showering sent water across the floor, despite screen. Well equipped kitchen and utility room, with extra toilet! Pretty garden, enclosed for our dog. Parking close but only for 1 car.

Generally it's good value for money, but needs a bit updating with some comfier chairs in the living room and some kitchen appliances need updating - the dishwasher didn't work and the knives weren't very sharp. The place is spacious in terms of overall room, however the slopping ceiling in the top room makes getting in and out of bed awkward. It is also in a small hamlet, with no services around so you have to drive everywhere. The WiFi was also very slow, not a deal breaker for most, but we struggled with streaming entertainment in the evening.
