Guests say

Guests generally appreciate the Godrevy cottage for its homely feel, stunning location, and cleanliness. The proximity to coastal paths and local eateries adds to its charm. While some guests mention minor maintenance issues and the occasional disturbance from a foghorn, the overall experience is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

The cottage receives high praise for cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting it as spotless and well-maintained.

The location is highly regarded for its beauty and proximity to coastal paths and the village. The occasional mention of the foghorn suggests a slight drawback for some.

Comfort is consistently mentioned positively, with guests finding the cottage cosy and the beds comfortable. However, a few comments about noise and light disturbance slightly affect the score.

Facilities are generally well-received, though there are some remarks about maintenance issues like peeling paint and a flickering TV screen.

While guests mention welcome gifts, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of this thoughtfulness across all stays. Therefore, it's politely noted that such gifts, though appreciated, are not guaranteed.

Lizard Lighthouse is a fully working lighthouse, first established in 1619. The distinctive two white towers that it is known for today were built in 1751 by private entrepreneur Thomas Fonnereau, and first lit on 22 August of that year. Trinity House gained control of the lights in 1771 and continues to look after its operation to this day. It became electrified in 1924 and then fully automated in 1998. It has a 26 mile light range and an automatic 3 mile fog signal if conditions are misty.

The nearby Lizard Village provides shops, restaurants and a friendly pub only ¼ mile away. There are an abundance of other small seaside towns and beaches to explore including St Michael's Mount, St. Ives, Mousehold, Newlyn, Penzance and The Helford River.

Good location - fabulous scenery but village limited for supplies- partly due to end of season but it looks like Village Store & Post Office permanently closed.

This is a beautiful, well presented, clean and spacious cottage with lovely view to sea. . Great location for walking the SW coastal path to Kynance cove in one direction and Cadgwith cove in the other. Safe pedestrianised 5-10 minute walk up to the village where there are lovely gift shops, cafes and 2 friendly pubs. Lizard point is a fantastic location for watching the sun rise and set as well as for seal watching and both Polpeor and Wavecrest cafes an excellent spot for sitting admiring the view at any time.. Absolutely loved our stay here
