Set on the outskirts of Looe, the setting for the very popular TV series Beyond Paradise. Perfectly situated between Looe and Polperro in a secluded area of Cornwall is this fabulous semi-detached dwelling, Brewers Cottage. Featuring contemporary and stylish interiors and sleeping up to six guests, this property is perfect for a family or group of friends in search of a holiday base away from the crowds, yet still just a stone's throw from the excitement. Enjoy the use of private parking right next to the house before being welcomed into the porch which offers ample space for coats and even surfboards and beach gear. Make your way into the social hub of the house, the open-plan living space where a sparkling white fitted kitchen awaits you to rustle up some tasty home-cooked meals, with all the appliances you could want; the chef of the group can set about preparing the evening meal whilst still joining in the conversation taking place around the dining table. Serve up a delicious dish here before moving over to the inviting sitting area where a huge sofa seating four and second sofa for two provide a snug spot to relax, whether winding down with a favourite film on the large TV or simply relishing the company of loved ones. In the warmer months, make use of the beautiful garden on your doorstep, with a patio and seating for alfresco dining and a two-tiered lawned area that children will be sure to love. Following a busy day, head upstairs to your chosen sleeping spot, with three beautiful bedrooms to choose from, each with calming and neutral grey tones and ample storage for your belongings; the master king-size bedroom enjoys the benefit of a TV as well as a fabulous en-suite shower room so you can get ready for the day in style, with the second bedroom being a king-size with a TV too, and last but not least is the charming twin bedroom, with the final two bedrooms served by the lovely family bathroom home to a bath with a shower overhead. Brewers Cottage is a lovely base for exploring the delights of Polperro, Looe and the beautiful south Cornish coast, whilst still being a peaceful location away from the crowds with a local shop just down the lane for your essentials. Discover the charming winding streets of the seaside town of Looe, with a host of restaurants specialising in delicious, fresh seafood to indulge in, as well as classic fish and chip shops for a tasty treat by the harbour. Watch the boats come and go from the long harbour wall that stretches up to the Victorian bridge, great for catching crabs here, while East Looe Beach is a popular spot on a sunny day with safe swimming and being a regular sun trap! Delight in a trip out to Looe Island which was once a holy pilgrimage site and now home to rare plants and wildlife with a super cute seal population taking residence on the rocks. Just a very short walk away from Brewers Cottage is a peaceful footpath which leads you to the centre of Looe. Around four miles outside the town is the wonderful The Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary where rescued apes and monkeys are taken care of, providing a great day out for any animal lover. A short walk brings you to beautiful Talland Bay and the South West Coast Path where you can then extend your walk along the cliffs to either Looe or Polperro. Pay a visit to Polperro's charming model village, take an exciting boat trip over to Fowey, explore the Polperro Harbour Heritage Museum or simply relax on the tiny Polperro Beach. Other places well worth visiting include the idyllic National Trust's Lantic Bay, the exciting Adrenalin Quarry, Porfell Wildlife Park and Sanctuary and the incredible Eden Project. Hop on to the foot ferry to explore Fowey which is only 10 miles from Brewers Cottage! Discover a wealth of fun from the peaceful surroundings of Brewers Cottage.
The quay area in East Looe, which is joined to the quieter West Looe by a seven-arched 19th-century bridge over the River Looe, is usually bustling with activity because Looe is Cornwall's second-largest fishing port. The river taxi runs between East and West Looe as well. While West Looe boasts a wonderful view of the harbour, East Looe has a lot of tourist stores, small, cobbled alleys, and winding lanes. The quay leads to Looe's viewpoint, Banjo Pier, which is an excellent place to observe the departing fishing trawlers and gaze across the bay to Looe Island, which is occasionally accessible by foot during extremely low tides. Due to its wide expanse of sand and safe shallow swimming, family love the sandy Looe beach, which is adjacent to the pier.
