Guests say

4 Water's Edge is a lodge in a tranquil Cornwall setting with a picturesque lake view, offering a peaceful retreat. Guests have enjoyed the natural surroundings, wildlife, and the private hot tub. The on-site restaurant is praised for its quality food and friendly staff. The location serves as a good base for exploring the area.

Reviews indicate a generally good level of cleanliness, with some guests finding the lodge spotless. However, there are mentions of specific areas needing attention, such as under sofas and outdoor cushions, which slightly lowers the score.

The location is highly praised for its peacefulness, natural beauty, and wildlife, making it an idyllic retreat. The proximity to local attractions and the on-site restaurant add to its appeal.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the lodge spacious, but there are comments about the need for mattress replacements and better window coverings for light management, affecting the comfort level.

The facilities, including the hot tub and kitchen appliances, are appreciated, but there are several reports of maintenance issues such as shower leaks and heating problems that suggest room for improvement.

While the reviews reflect positively on staff helpfulness and the provision of some amenities, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Would have been good to have soap in both bathrooms for ease of use . More than one tea towel would be good. Cannot see the number of the lodge in the dark maybe worth more prominent sign with no on it . Lovely week and reception staff as usual are very friendly . We visit regularly and never disappoints !

The heating didn't come on and it got quite cold, only the heated towel rail in the main bathroom seemed to work. Shower didn't work great, very low pressure and not as hot as we would like. The grounds and view of the lake were lovely and we would definitely stay again. Very dog friendly and peaceful.

We try and stay in a different one each time. This is our 8th time staying in these lodges. The last 2 lodges we’ve stayed in at stonerush lodges the fridges weren’t cold enough and our milk has gone off. We had to use our ice packs for the food. Other than that always happy with the lodges.
