Lanreath is a village in South East Cornwall, five miles west of Looe. Lanreath is rural in character with a local shop and Post Office as well as a parish church. There are a number of ghost stories associated with Lanreath. The best-known features a ghost in black driving a coach pulled by a headless horse. The sandy Looe Beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand.

The cottage was very modern and private, also had a good lawn area surrounded by bushes that was great for the dogs to use to do their business in the morning, the hot tub was great and we used it daily to relax and unwind after walking and exploring, Iâd highly recommend a visit to Lansallos beach with a nice walk and natural waterfall.

A beautiful secluded location among the trees and away from the main thoroughfare. The lodge itself is up to Charteroaks standard which is very high although there were a couple of things that needed slight attention. The rubber strip at the bottom of the bath screen needs attention and also the wood in the corner. A couple of pint glasses would have been good as well. It might seem finicky but the standard set is very high. I could not fault the management team who resolved two minor issues we had very quickly. We will return next year, hopefully to the same lodge but if not Iâm sure other lodges are of the same high standards. Well worth a week of tranquility relaxing in the hot tub and listening to the trickle of the stream below the balcony.

The wood around the hot tub is very very rotten literally toes going through the wood. Also bottom of all the curtains are dirty very dirty need cleaning. The hoover was bit sucking properly luckily we fixed it but it did mean that the floors were not hoovered properly on arrival. And outside. We would have loved to let our pooch off the lead for toilet times but could not due to no fencing around the property. It would be ideal to have it enclosed off so she could have some off lead time seeing as though the rest of the area is lead only. It wouldn't take much to fence off your property allowing this and it would look lovely still. And lack of sunshine on the balcony area sadly I know you have all those trees should be mentioned as the pics give a different look sadly. Apart from that is a nice lodge. Needs some updating and honesty about how shaded that property is.
