A delightful conversion of part of a former dairy building, close to St Newlyn East. Attractive and well presented, the property offers wonderful views over the surrounding fields and makes a great holiday base for exploring this superb part of Cornwall. Set amidst open fields and winding hedgerows, the North Cornwall village of St Newlyn East offers a peaceful and relaxing alternative to the bustling, vibrant town of Newquay - situated under five miles away. The perfect starting point for a number of walks through picturesque countryside, this lovely town is centrally located for a variety of excellent attractions including many stately homes and gardens, model railways, theme parks, fishing villages and harbours - not to mention some of the UK's best surfing beaches. For a livelier nightlife, visitors will enjoy the various clubs and pubs in nearby Newquay, though also of interest in the town are the impressive Zoo and Sea Life Centre. Also within easy driving distance is the cathedral city of Truro and the magnificent Eden Project.

We went for a week in September and it was lovely, the views and location is stunning, lovely and quiet with everything you need there. The kitchen is well stocked for everything you'd need and the garden is lovely, it's big and shared but our dog loved it! The walls are nice and thick and you could only occasionally hear the neighbours - other holiday makers. The accessibility was really good, the doors were all wide enough for my manual wheelchair, the wet room was really good and it was all accessible - no hidden steps or sills over doors. The only potential issues to flag were that the double bed is very high so transferring could be difficult, the back door has a step down into the garden and it not widened so I had to walk out of the door - fine for me as an ambulatory user but I can understand it would be difficult for some. Another potential issue is that although there is a paved path up to the front door, the main body of the car park is gravel and so you have to get to the pathed path which was difficult but not too bad for me as I just took a couple of steps to the path and then was able to use my wheelchair. The hosts were lovely, when we made them aware of a couple of issues they went out of their way to help us and ensure that we had a lovely time away. The building is old and therefore has it's quirks - the exposed beams were lovely, if a bit cobwebby. The shower is amazing when you're in it but the pump is in the main bedroom and you definitely wouldn't be able to sleep through it! Overall it was a lovely place, the hosts made it much better for us and we loved it, will definitely be coming again!
