A charming holiday hideaway with its own outside space, this pet-welcoming shepherd’s hut is set on a friendly site within reach of the beautiful Cornwall coast, as well as picturesque countryside. Sleeping two guests, the one-bedroom studio-style getaway is positioned on a welcoming site with a dog exercise field, close to Hornick and 4 miles from St Austell. Lace up your walking boots and stride out along a stretch of the dramatic South West Coast Path, 5.5 miles away, with your canine companion. Venture further afield to the impressive landscapes of Bodmin Moor, 16 miles away, where there is a multitude of scenic footpaths and trails to follow. Head to the beach at Porthpean, 5.5 miles away, or Polstreath Beach, 7.5 miles away, near Mevagissey. Pack your surfboard and drive to Newquay, 14 miles away. Take the time to visit the celebrated Eden Project, 6.5 miles away, during your stay.

Make your way into your new home away from home by taking three steps up and into the hut. You’ll enter a cosy space that has been finished with country-style decor and all the furniture and accessories you need to make this a stay to remember. At the heart of the retreat is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom where you and your four-legged friend can rest your weary feet and paws. Light a fire in the wood burner and relax in here with your holiday books or in front of the Smart TV. There is a kitchen space, where you can prepare light meals, snacks and hot drinks, plus a dining area for those evenings you choose to eat inside. This creatively designed space can be put away as night falls, to enable you to fold your double bed down. Under the bed, there is an inviting space for dogs to doze in. The shepherd’s hut also has the luxury of a private shower room, where you can refresh yourselves as each day begins. There is access to a shared, on-site laundry room with a washing machine and dryer.

Spend as much time as possible out in the fresh air and sunshine. Cook on the BBQ, sip a sundowner as the stars appear and play games with your energetic dog in the exercise field. Guests can rinse muddy paws and boots at the dog rinsing station. There is private parking here for one car.
