This enchanting cottage, built right into the rugged coastal rocks, offers an unrivalled location with breathtaking views of the sea and out to Chapel Point.
Enter the cottage to find the cosy sitting room, equipped with comfortable chairs, a wood burner-style electric heater. This floor also includes a bathroom with a bath, shower attachment, toilet and basin, ensuring convenience and comfort. Upstairs features a bedroom with two pairs of sturdy bunk beds, perfect for children or friends. This room leads into the main double bedroom, complete with a washbasin, providing a cosy and private sleeping area. The lower level houses the heart of the cottage, the kitchen/dining room. Dominated by a large open fireplace, a table that comfortably seats six, ideal for family meals and gatherings. The kitchen is fully equipped. Additionally, this floor features a shower room, perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach. A small lobby for coats and boots, with a washing machine, leads out to the patio.
With views of the sea and the beach below, the private patio is a great place for outdoor dining or soaking up the sun and watching the world go by. Steps lead down to a lower patio, shared with Corner Cottage (UK47402), and the rocks, where the magic of Mermaid Cottage truly comes to life. At high tide, guests can swim from the rocks into the clear waters, at low tide the sandy beach is revealed; perfect for rockpooling! Due to its unique position, Mermaid Cottage is not suitable for young children or families with adventurous toddlers.

What a find! You couldn't be closer to the sea without falling in! The views are amazing. If you are looking for a show home then maybe it's not for you, but the cosy, homely feel engulfs you from the moment you arrive. Whether you be sat out in the sunshine on the terrace or snuggled inside watching the rain lash down on the sea (we had a bit of everything on our three day break!) Mermaid cottage offers comfy, rustic living. True to it's fisherman's cottage roots.Beds are clean and comfy but be warned, the stairs are very steep! Could do with some throws on the sofas but quite adequate. Kitchen well equipped with an enormous open fireplace. So missing falling asleep to the sound of the sea. We will be back!
