Book 16 Seaspray for a memorable escape to this beautiful Cornish region.

Porthtowan is a small village resting on west Cornwall’s beautiful coastline, renowned for its Blue Flag beach, which at low tide exposes almost a mile and a half of fine, golden sands. Fringed by impressive granite cliffs, the beach is a popular surfing venue and is lifeguarded during the summer, making it ideal for families. Porthtowan is part of the St Agnes designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and there are some wonderful walks to be found, offering vivid scenery along the South West Coast Path, whether you choose to head east to St Agnes or west to Portreath. The towns of St Ives and Penzance, with their art galleries, restaurants and quaint harbours, are half an hour’s drive away, whilst Flambards Theme Park, The Cornish Seal Sanctuary in Gweek, and the Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station are just a few of the other diverse attractions scattered around this picturesque region. A great base for a varied family break.

Plenty of heaters. Nice towels, good bedding and bed. Lovely views. Settee upholstery would benefit from a bit of a clean but otherwise very clean throughout. Will definitely come again. Thank you.

The property was just right and clean so it made our stay even better. We slept in the bed on the mezzanine which was comfortable but a bit of a bouncy mattress, but nevertheless we slept well. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. The bathroom was fine even with the toilet in the small space. Overall we have nothing to complain about. Thanks again for your help in getting it right. x

I have had a very cold week with only 1 small heater, not ‘heating’ as was listed in the description. The apartment is in dire need of refurbing as well as having old fashioned furniture and awful rotating fans for the main lights. The kitchen storage has no space for your provisions as it is full of crockery and picnic plastics. The only good things I can say is with taking a dog the floors were easy to look after and the sofa was comfy. Sorry I don’t like to be negative but I expected more from a Sykes cottage which we have used before.
