Lovely cottage with character . Old world charm, excellent facilities. Parking is a pain but if you are ok with walking it can be done.

Perfect space for what we needed, with a few unavoidable considerations! Really good location, and the cottage is lovely, exceptionally well appointed, cosy but certainly met our needs. The entrance is straight into the dining section with the lounge. Beyond that a very well set up kitchen and large utility area, perfect for a bit of space. This leads out to the garden space, which is perfect for enjoying a sunny evening. The bathroom is off the kitchen, with a super shower. Up the narrow and twisty (true olde cottage style) stairs are the two rooms, we only used the master, which has a very comfy bed and cupboard space, with good space for dresing. I was very impresed that the hosts left long life milk in the fridge (although we had brought our own) and some teas and coffees too, also everything you could need was made available, and good instructions too. There's a fabulous little restaurant just down the road (the fat otter) that had lovely food and drinks, with great owners on hand to help out with any questions. What we didn't like was completely beyond the host's control! The bedroom is over the street, and we had people walking by until about 1am, many of whom were rather loud and disturbing, there was also a dog that yapped incesantly in the neighbours house whenever their owners went out - which they did on two of the three of the evenings we were there, coming home after 11pm (with the noise asociated with all the other mentioned too). Finally - parking! Like many villages, parking can be a challenge, which we had to manage. Outside is double lined and there was no available parking in the street, so we parked briefly so as to pack and unpack on each occasion of travelling, and then parked in either of the two local parking lots - which did come with costs. For someone with mobility challenges or solo travelling with a dog, this could be problematic, as they are also a walk away. All this said, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and I am spoilt in having a wonderful husband happy to trapse the local area for parking and walking back!!
