We thoroughly enjoyed our week, the setting of the cottage is idyllic and very peaceful. The cottage itself is a bit tired and the garden needed some work ( lawn needed mowing would have set a better impression and hedges trimmed ). They certainly need to supply some decent garden furniture, as the weather was exceptional and we spent most of our time outside for meals and relaxing. Lovely walk into Sidmouth along the river Sid, our dog enjoyed paddling. Beds very comfy, plenty of hot water and enjoyed the upstairs lounge. Lovely peaceful week.

This cottage was fine and as described but somewhat sparse with harsh lighting and the ground floor bedroom smelt unpleasantly of paint or some chemical treatment for the whole of the stay despite many attempts to air it out.

We had a great week in Harcombe. The surrounding of the cottages is very peaceful. The closest town Sidmouth is very pretty with lots of lovely caffes and restaurants. We enjoyed coastal walks, Beer quarry caves, canoing in Torquay and also playing tennis and table tennis. We would recommend the Blue Ball pub for lovely atmosphere and great food. The Millhouse cottage was very spacious and had everything we needed.
