With plenty of footpaths on your doorstep, pack a picnic and set off on an adventure, or stay close by and arrange with the farmer to look around the farm. Alternatively, take in the sights of the meandering River Otter, starting with a delicious breakfast at Otterton Mill 10.5 miles away, finishing with a honeycomb ice cream by the sea at Budleigh Salterton after a 2.5-mile walk.
