This unique and stylish lodge/shepherd’s hut with hot tub is a fun and exciting property which nestles in an enclosed and private part of the owners’ 300-acre farmland in a beautiful part of Devon. There is much to see and do nearby with the cathedral city of Exeter being just a short drive away and offering a huge variety of shops, restaurants and amenities to suit all ages and tastes. Closer to home is the charming town of Tiverton which has a variety of shops and a pretty canal from where you can see horse-drawn barges and even hire one for the day. You can visit the idyllic thatched inn at Bickleigh for a bite to eat or a drink, or take a guided tour of Bickleigh Castle, both situated on the banks of the River Exe. Dartmoor National Park is a short drive away, offering great walks and beautiful scenery.
This unique property comprises two separate buildings within an enclosed garden. The lodge provides a comfortable living space incorporating a stylish lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area has a TV/DVD and is ideal for relaxing in, while the dining area is ideal whether you’re enjoying a snack or sitting down to a special meal. In the kitchen area, you will find everything you may need including a range-style gas oven and hob, fridge/freezer and microwave. There’s also a shower room with a WC, as well as a further separate WC, both accessed via the private decked area behind the lodge. Heading over to the shepherd’s hut, you will find the cosy sleeping area, with a double bed, wood burner (logs included) and tea/coffee making facilities.
Outside, the property is fully enclosed, and you will find a decked area with a large private sunken hot tub, garden furniture and BBQ and fire pit. There’s a separate suntrap decked area outside the shepherd’s hut, providing a sunny spot to relax and sunbathe or just enjoy the peace and tranquillity. There is also a small separate paddock ideal for ball games or exercising your dog.
