The village is surrounded by great footpaths for walking, mostly leading into the wooded River Teign valley where you may spot deer, salmon leaping and other wildlife. The village itself offers a traditional pub and there is another pub nearby at Fingle Bridge. The local church has a pop-up shop which is open 8am to 8pm, selling non-perishable items and essentials.
