In a lovely rural setting on the outskirts of Cheriton Bishop, 1 mile north of the Dartmoor National Park, Rose Cottage is a well presented, single-storey holiday cottage and is attached to the owner’s home, with views across the lake and countryside. Exeter, with its many attractions, is just 8 miles. On your doorstep the park offers marvellous walking, climbing, pony trekking, superb scenery, bird watching and wildlife. Nearby, enjoy glorious walking through the Teign Gorge and the dramatic moorlands of Dartmoor, or visit Castle Drogo (NT), Fingle Glen, the Canonteign Falls and the Miniature Pony Centre. There are also lots of outdoor activities on offer, including coarse fishing onsite (tackle available to borrow, licence required), golfing, riding and tennis. The sandy beaches/seaside resorts of Dawlish, 13 miles, Torquay and Bude all within easy reach. The Eden Project is 1 hour away. Evening meals available for a small cost using fresh local produce. Shop and pub serving food 1 mile.

Lovely snug cottage with fantastic views through the south facing patio doors. Anne and John are very friendly hosts and the cottage is well equipped for self catering. There are lots of local walks from the cottage through beautiful countryside, as well as interesting places to visit not far away. It would have been nice to have been able to eat at a table in the lounge area rather than the kitchen in order to enjoy the lovely views.
