A delightful, traditional village set between Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks in rural mid-Devon. The mid-Devon location leaves you spoilt for choice with moors, beaches and stunning Devon countryside to explore. This peaceful village is a great spot for a relaxing holiday with its 16th century pub and convenient spar shop. Lapford is an ancient village at it's heart - its origins can be traced back to the Iron Age Celts and it was mentioned in the Domesday Book. Lapford's playing field provides a great open space for ball games and there is a childrens playground. Lapford train station offers access to the many nearby charming mid-Devon towns and villages. The cosmopolitan city of Exeter with its wonderful architecture lies within 30 minutes driving distance. The nearest well-stocked town is Crediton just 9 miles away and a 20 minute drive.

The accomodation is top quality and its access to the countryside and local pub made for a brilliant New Year's celebration. Susan was a great host and very helpful with local information and assistance. We would recommend this lovely property to anyone who wants great views in a quiet location.
