We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in the barn. Kentisbeare is a beautiful quiet village (highly recommend a visit to the medieval church), which is well located for visiting most of Devon. The Barn was spacious but comfortable, with a very dog friendly and large safe garden. We appreciated the touches such as the toiletries, fresh flowers and the fire ready for our arrival (with access to plenty of further logs). The kitchen is small (but we were aware of this when booking) and the oven took some understanding but the manual helped. Chris and Emma were also on hand to help and were very warm and welcoming. To note there is a large fridge freezer in the car port, which was a bonus. We would definitely stay again.

Overall, the barn was a lovely location for a familyHoliday. Lots of beaches within easy driving distance and the village itself was lovely with a good pub and excellent little shop.

A great cottage for upto 7 people. Provided everything with a nice big landscaped garden. All the facilities were good and the location was good, from where you could visit various different places including the beach, national park walks and canal walks and tea houses. The host was friendly and helpful. The only issues were:1)The kitchen was quite small although it provided everything you would need, there was no dishwasher and the fidge was very small (but there was a large american style fridge/freezer in the garage).2)There were 3 bathrooms with showers but you could only use one shower at a time because of water pressure.3)The sofas in the lounge were not very comfortable as they were too large and deep and too soft (you woul sink in them)
