The central open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area welcome you upon entering, full of charm and country touches like exposed beams overhead and terracotta tiles that add a Mediterranean flair. Stylishly decorated throughout, this quaint cottage is surprisingly modern – particularly in the two wet rooms with shower and WC, one of which is an en-suite. Adjoining the central area is a spacious double bedroom, complete with patio doors for a little fresh air and birdsong in the mornings. The patio area itself is in front of the property and includes a charcoal BBQ, plenty of greenery and outdoor dining furniture for dining alfresco.

A day trip to the nearby town of Tiverton comes highly recommended, a little further than the local village but still conveniently close at 7 miles away. Shops, pubs and restaurants are found along Tiverton’s canals and museums and historical sites like Knightsbridge Court can be found locally. The Tiverton Canal Company offer trips on one of the country’s few remaining horse-drawn canal boats: the Tivertonian.
