This lovely ground floor apartment is both spacious and airy and is located under 300 yards away from the serene local beach – the perfect place to enjoy some of the best sunsets in this amazing region. The popular South West coast path is just a few minutes walk from High Tide. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay as a base for discovering North Devon or want a place to simply kick back and relax, then High Tide is just perfect. Accessed via the private car park, the apartment is reached up a flight of stairs and once inside the accommodation is all on one level and comprises two bedrooms (a kingsize and a twin) and a contemporary bathroom with a bath and shower over. The open plan living space includes a comfortable living area with a Smart TV and patio doors leading out into the patio garden, which is on two levels. From here you can sit and enjoy an outdoor meal or evening drink and you can see the sea with Wales in the distance. Back inside, the kitchen/dining area has all you’ll need for your stay. Private parking is also available for up to one car. Within a 5 minute walk there are shops, cafes and pubs.
The surrounding area has many attractions waiting to be discovered, such as the local beach at Combe Martin where you can enjoy the stunning sunsets of the North Devon coast. On the door step is the South West Coast Path too, popular with walkers, and the surrounding area boasts other attractions such as Cairn Woodland Nature Reserve, Watermouth Bay and, the lovely Fuchsia Valley, Watermouth Castle and Theme Park and don’t forget the nearby town of Ilfracombe with its very own harbour and port which dates back to at least the 12th Century. here you can sample quality ice cream, fish and chips and visit various craft shops, plus Damien Hirst’s ‘Verity’ statue, which is a must see. Trips to Lundy Island, coastal cruises, fishing, sea-life safaris and diving are also all available from here. Take a trip on the Ilfracombe Princess and see seals, porpoises and sea birds nesting on the cliffs. Try your hand at sea fishing on Blue Fin or take an exhilarating tour of the amazing coastline on the Ilfracombe Sea Safari or on the Hampshire Rose, a former rnli Lifeboat.
Combe Martin is also perfectly situated to the enjoy the countless other North Devon attractions such as the popular Tarka Trail which provides the unique opportunity to follow a disused railway line allowing you to enjoy some of Devon’s finest countryside and scenery stretching from Barnstaple through to Bideford and beyond. And then there’s stunning Exmoor National Park with its beautiful night skies, just 6 miles away and Lynton & Lynmouth, 13 miles to the northeast with its incredible sea views, rugged cliffs and amazing funicular cliff railway, which opened in 1890 and is the highest and steepest totally water powered railway in the world! We had a lovely relaxing holiday at High Tide. The owners were very friendly and left us some milk and other goodies which was thoughtful and much appreciated! High Tide is only minutes away from a beautiful cove and dog friendly beach! The location was peaceful and quiet! The flat had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable! Would highly recommend!

Spent a week in High Tide and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Steve and Julie are excellent hosts, greeting us on arrival and had left a lovely welcome package for us - bread, milk, orange juice and chocolate!The flat had everything we needed and the outside patio area was a lovely area to sit and relax. The beach area is a five minute walk and there are numerous cafes, a Premier shop selling lots of food, drink etc, fish and chip shops and two pubs that do lovely food!The bus stop that takes you to Ilfracombe/ Barnstaple is just a couple of minutes walk away.

We had a lovely welcome from Steve & Julie. Great hosts. There was a welcome pack for us and for our dog Lilac.The flat was very clean and tidy, with a courtyard for us to sit out. Lovely dog friendly beach near by.Sawmills restaurent was a great find, and very dog welcoming. The only minor problem for us was the fencing around the property was not high enough, as Lilac is a bit of a jumper, but we just built a barricade with some of the garden furniture. We had a really great time, and would highly recommend this lovely little flat.
