Guests say

Bridge House - UKC1340 is a well-received cottage offering a peaceful rural retreat with stunning views and spacious, comfortable accommodation. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, the added fun of a games room, and the property's suitability for families and dogs. The scenic location is ideal for exploring Exmoor, though the narrow access roads are noted. The property's character, with open beams and a converted mill aesthetic, adds to its charm.

There is insufficient information in the reviews to accurately assess the cleanliness of the property.

The location is highly praised for its beauty and tranquillity, with magnificent views of Exmoor and a serene setting. However, the narrow and bendy access roads are a consideration for some.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the living spaces spacious and cosy. Some concerns are raised about suitability for young children or those less able due to stairs and steps.

The property is well-equipped with a dishwasher and games room, though some guests suggest additional cooking essentials and note the low placement of the microwave. The presence of a table tennis table is a plus.

The provision of a Christmas decoration, cake, bread, milk, tea, and coffee is a thoughtful touch, enhancing the homely feel. However, such gifts may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.

Set in a beautiful, quiet, scenic location surrounded by fields and trees but the roads to it are quite narrow and bendy so you need to take care getting in and out but the views of Exmoor are magnificent so worth the effort. The property is a converted mill so lots of open beams and interesting features but also lots of stairs, so I wouldn’t think it would be suitable for young children or anyone less able, getting up/down steps. One of the en suite bathrooms has steps leading up to it from the bedroom and a sloping ceiling, so the WC is a challenge to use for any tall men. There is a seal sunken bath which sounds idyllic but also needs care stepping down into it & then up & out once wet! Again not ideal for elderly or very young without assistance! The open plan living room, dining room was very spacious and comfortable but the integrated microwave was very low down, so anyone not able to crouch down or kneel would have difficulty using it. A few extra cooking essentials like measuring jug, scales and possibly a slow cooker would have been handy as we liked to cook most of our evening meals but the use of a dishwasher was fabulous as nobody got burdened with all the washing up!The downstairs games room with exclusive access to table tennis was great fun, especially on a rainy day!
