Well-appointed over one floor, Beachcomber is a splendid escape for families looking to visit this picturesque region of Devon. After a day of exploring the South Dams, step into the open-plan living space and curl up on the sofa, discussing where next to tick off the list. Take over the kitchen and utilise a range of appliances as you prepare a big feast, before gathering at the dining table and toasting to a much-needed escape with your loved ones. Pop your clothes on a spin and head to the shower room to begin your nightly routine. The bedrooms at this Norton Park abode includes a double and a twin, each equipped with TVs and ample storage. Within a mile there are two supermarkets, ideal for grabbing the essentials, whilst slightly further afield in Dartmouth lies an abundance of independent shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs, perfect for treating the group to a meal. Hire a boat to enjoy a leisurely trip along the River Dart, explore the historic sites of Bayard’s Cove Fort, Dartmouth Castle, and Dartmouth Museum, and sample fresh seafood at Rockfish with views over the river. Continue exploring to Paignton and discover Paignton Zoo Environmental Park, Paignton Pier and Fairy Cove, or plan a day trip to Torquay where you can enjoy Torquay Museum, Meadfoot Beach and Tessier Gardens. Dartmouth is one of the most well-liked tourist sites in Devon because of its location in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and proximity to the shore. It boasts a beautiful waterfront, historic, winding alleys lined with quaint shops, eateries, and art galleries, as well as a variety of regional events like the yearly Dart Music Festival, the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, and the October Dartmouth Food Festival. The Dart Valley Trail, the South West Coast Path, and several peaceful rural lanes are just a few of the intriguing cycling and walking paths that can be found in and around Dartmouth. Both a ride on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through the lovely countryside to Paignton and a boat ride to Kingswear and on to the charming harbour town of Brixham are essential.
