Rear garden with garden furniture and a barbecue. Tennis court and croquet lawn (shared with other properties on-site). 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). No smoking.. The Coachman’s Lodge is a converted barn which has been modernised throughout. It sleeps six in three bedrooms – a kingsize bedroom with en-suite shower room, one bedroom with twin beds and one with bunk beds, both sharing a bathroom comprising a bath with shower over. All bedrooms have hairdryers supplied, and plenty of storage space.
The combined kitchen and dining room is equipped with electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer and fridge freezer, and the living room contains a colour television with Freeview and DVD player. An extra cloakroom is provided downstairs for convenience.
The rear garden contains garden furniture, a barbecue for those summer evenings and attractive views across the grounds of South Allington House. All guests also have use of the tennis court and croquet lawn within the grounds of the main house. Beach 1 mile.

We booked a late summer week at very short notice, where we could bring the dog along. The property is in a beautifully tranquil location, the trade off being a few miles of Devons narrow lanes. It has plenty of elbow room, and felt like home as soon as we arrived. The only downside was the squeaky floorboards. You can see bats flying over the lawns in evenings and early mornings.It's ideally placed to walk sections of the coast path, visit small coastal towns, and spend time with the dog on some lovely quiet beaches.

We enjoyed staying at the lodge, well equipped spacious kitchen, lounge and bedroom both were very comfortable. Beautiful grounds. We walked to the coast which took about 45 minutes along lanes and footpaths. A perfect position to access different parts of the coastline every day. Roads were quiet as we came after summer holiday season.You do need to buy all food at Kingsbridge before arriving.

This house felt directly like a home to us. Beautiful garden en the house is lovely. A bit remote but for us that was ok. A bit out dated. Bed in main bedroom a bit sagging. We bought a frying pan ( left it in the house) because there was only a really small and worn one. Rest of the kitchen was very complete.It is big, has a bath and is very welcoming, we had a lovely stay.
