The Cottage is set at the end of quiet cul-de-sac, beside a pretty orchard, just a short walk uphill from the vibrant waterside Island Street, and close to the boat park and Batson Creek. It sits in a quiet spot, in an elevated position with sweeping views of Salcombe and the estuary, but very close to the centre of town. With a private parking space, this light, sunny and spacious house is a great base to explore the delights of the area. Please note, this parking space is for one car and will not be large enough for a van. The property is accessed via 16 steps through the garden and patio to the front door
Upon entering the property, you will find a bright, spacious and sunny double height entrance hall. Head into the kitchen/dining/family room, a sun filled, open plan space for entertaining, or relaxing in the open plan snug area; a comfortable, south facing family area with TV. A ground floor shower room, refitted in 2023, is perfect for washing off your sandy toes after a day paddling in the blue waters of North or South Sands Beach. Retreat upstairs to the first floor living room and enjoy the wonderful views of the estuary from your armchair, share stories of your day or join together for a film or games. Perhaps finish your day with a glass of something special on the small patio off the living room, looking out over the twinkling lights of Island St and the harbour. Also on the first floor are two bedrooms with kingsize beds, both with lovely views, a large family bathroom, and a sweet little twin room also with lovely views. The twin room is accessed by the second staircase leading up from the family room and ground floor shower room, and also accessed through the walk through middle bedroom; a perfect set up for families.
Begin by enjoying a coffee on the elevated patio whilst watching the boat masts bob on the estuary and plan your many adventures. Salcombe, famed for its waterside location has so much to offer. Take afternoon tea on the waterside balcony of The Salcombe Harbour Hotel, hire a canoe or paddleboard and discover hidden coves or take in the scenery from upon the water on a boat trip. This ticked all the boxes for our family ( especially the train set for our young boys ). Perfect little walk to town and lovely views even in the rain! Kitchen was so well equipped and there was even a coop card which was handy. Comfy beds, and lots of space. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic cottage. Literally the perfect location in Salcombe - just outside the busy centre but only a 3 minute walk into it (especially handy for the coop, ice cream shop and tap house). A bit of a final ascent, but nothing compared to most places in Salcombe, which are arranged further up the hills. Fantastic views from both the upstairs lounge and the master bedroom. We spent many hours happily watching the boats come and go. Cottage itself is lovely - spacious, light and very well furnished with lots of thoughtful touches. Lovely and warm, even in dank February! Cooking equipment very good and beds all comfortable.No complaints at all! With any luck, we'll be back.
